In 2013 he won 'The Dutch Blues Challange' with his duo 'Herbie and the Guitarguy'. After winning "The Dutch Blues Challenge" they went to compete in the International Blues Challenge of 2014 (IBC) in Memphis, Tennesee USA. This is a major honor with competion of over 250 bands representing more than 45 countries from all over the world. "Herbie And The Guitarguy" played up and down the world famous "Beale Street"! In the beginning of 2014 the time was right to start his solo career. The Guitar Guy plays a mix of Delta, Ragtime, Chicago and Country Blues. His groovy guitar playing is supported by foot percussion which give you the idea that you're listening to a full band. His debut album 'Me, Myself and the blues' contains 10 blues traditionals which are all live recordings. What you hear on the album give's a perfect impression of what you get on stage.
